Horne Road

Responsiveness. The project team enacted critical traffic mitigation to minimize impact to drivers and adjacent commercial enterprises and to maintain project schedule milestones resulting in a successful project delivered on time.

The LJA team performed subsurface utility engineering (SUE) at four specified locations to determine location, size, orientation, and depth of cover for water, gas, and marked fiber optic cables in the right of way. Traffic control measures were put in place to ensure safety and to maintain consistent traffic flow throughout the project area. The utilities were exposed by hydro excavation and found at depths up to 54” with the location of each utility tied in with a Trimble GPS capable of acquiring measurements to within a centimeter of accuracy.
