Kirby Street Water Plant Rehabilitation

Quality. The key priority of the project was to remove an existing water plant with major deficiencies and replace it with a much more efficient plant was the key priority with the City of LaMarque project. The successful completion of the project has exceeded the requirements set forth by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and resulted in setting the precedent for a high quality product for area residents.

LJA provided the engineering design services for all site work, structural, mechanical, electrical, and control components of the booster pump station, fencing, pavement, ground storage tank, emergency generator, and rehabilitation of an existing well within the City of La Marque. LJA also provided bidding and construction phase services as well as project representative services during construction.

The project includes rehabilitation of the existing well and construction of new facilities including a ground storage tank, operations building, booster pumps, chemical feed systems, motor control center with system controls, emergency generator, site grading, yard piping, site civil, and all appurtenances. The positive impact on the community allows the City to produce more groundwater under emergency conditions.
