CALLING CORPUS CHRISTI HOME SINCE 1959.
In 2015, LJA Engineering acquired RVE, Inc., a Corpus Christi based-engineering firm with roots going back to 1959. The addition of RVE added 15 people with a professional history of over 56 years serving a diverse mix of satisfied, long-standing clients. RVE provided basic services in civil engineering, structural engineering, and surveying. Specialized services included subsurface utility engineering, bridge condition assessments, windstorm design and inspections, and design of port security systems.
RVE has a long and solid reputation in the Corpus Christi area. The predecessor firm of RVE, Ogletree Engineering, began with the formation of a primarily structural engineering firm by William B. Ogletree, PE in 1959. In addition to structural engineering, Ogletree developed a specialty in underwater structural investigations, primarily port facilities and bridges. The firm was acquired in 1989 by two employees, Stan Russell and Pat Veteto, and renamed Russell Veteto Engineering (RVE). It has maintained a dedicated commitment to service throughout its 56-year history, retaining many clients since the beginning, and still serving them today.
In 2016, LJA Engineering acquired 40-year old Coym, Rehmet & Gutierrez Engineering, LP (CRG), with offices in Corpus Christi and Alice, Texas. The CRG principals added extensive knowledge in municipal infrastructure, aviation, transportation, land development, and environmental projects along with a strong, reputable, well-qualified engineering team capable of providing a full range of engineering, planning, and design services for city, county, state, and federal government agencies.
Reinforcing our commitment to position LJA to provide the highest level of professional services to the public and private markets in South Texas, our Gulf Coast offices broaden LJA’s expertise in land development, drainage, flood control planning, and utilities studies and design. LJA’s local team has grown to over 40 technical professionals and support staff who continue to serve the engineering needs of local public and private entities in the South Texas area.
