Stormwater Compliance
Montgomery County Stormwater Quality Coalition
Quality. Multiple entities comprise the Coalition, with LJA managing and implementing the stormwater management program for all. LJA’s chief responsibility is to assure compliance with TCEQ’s regulations regarding urban stormwater discharge in these communities.
The Montgomery County Stormwater Quality Coalition consists of the City of Conroe, The Woodlands Joint Powers Agency, and Montgomery County. The Coalition was formed in February of 2008 with the assistance of the LJA environmental team in an effort to efficiently comply with TCEQ regulations related to urban stormwater discharge. LJA manages the Coalition and helps implement the stormwater management program for each entity in compliance with TCEQ’s Phase II MS4 Permit (TPDES General Permit No. TXR040000).
