As manager of Landscape Architecture, Raquel lures from over 24 years of professional experience. Her strong organizational skills are called upon extensively for staff and technology management, as well as in the graphic theme and vision of marketing materials, communities, and design guidelines. Her attention to detail and technical expertise are complemented by her pleasant personality, positive attitude, and her willingness to have the client’s best interest in mind. Raquel has applied her management skills on the full range of project types within the firm’s portfolio including large scale master-planned and mixed communities, urban design, parks, trails, and municipal buildings. Her project coordination skills are exemplified with Newman Village in Frisco, TX which included the design and management of a multi-million-dollar landscape development of an upscale residential community involving the coordination of numerous sub-consultants withing multi-disciplinary firms, and Mustang Lakes in Celina, TX named Master-Planned Community of the Year of 600 Acres or more (by The Mc. Sam Awards). Her spirit and persistent reliability have earned Raquel the trust of many of DCBA/LJA’s repeat clientele. Raquel is involved in all aspects of project development. She leads her team on a wide variety of project types through all stages from concept design to construction administration. Raquel is an active member of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
