Gene is a licensed civil engineer with over 15 years of experience, the last 12 of which have been focused on civil and track improvements for Class 1, short-line, and industrial railroad improvement projects. Gene’s experience ranges from feasibility studies and corridor assessments through detail design and construction management. Gene’s current responsibilities include the conceptual and detailed design of network capacity and facility improvement projects for the BNSF Railroad in the Texas and Gulf region. Gene’s recent projects include sidings, double tracks, mainline relocation, automotive ramps, intermodal yards, logistics centers, classification yards, and SIT yards. Gene is currently a member of AREMA Committee 14: Yards and Terminals.
