Derek is the Round Rock Vice President for LJA’s Central Texas Public Infrastructure division. His key strengths are his responsiveness, communication skills, and hands on approach to design. He takes ownership and champions his projects in an effort to solve any issues before the reach his client’s desk. Derek has 14 years of hydrologic/hydraulic evaluation and design experience on public infrastructure projects. His responsibilities include rural and urban drainage design, water quality regulations and permitting, floodplain analysis, scour analysis, water quality BMP design, impact analysis, detention and retention design, storm sewer design, culvert design, energy dissipater design, erosion control and SWP3, and hydrologic modeling for projects across Texas. Derek is proficient with GeoPak Drainage, HEC-RAS, HEC HMS, GeoHecRas, XP SWMM, ArcGIS, and HY-8.
