Dan is the Transportation division manager responsible for supervising project development and management, design and project engineering, specification and schedule development, and cost estimating. Dan’s 33 years of experience includes schematic and PS&E development for interstate highway; major and minor bridge design including exotic and direct connectors; highway/roadway design; and, traffic control and retaining wall design. For TxDOT, he has served as project manager on more than 200 projects ranging from major freeway reconstruction to on-and off-system bridge replacements and rehabilitations. Dan’s favorite projects include multi-level interchange, exotic bridge, and direct connector design projects, with a large portion of his career focused on rehabilitating and retrofitting major highway bridges to withstand seismic events. Dan has designed more than 150 rural county bridge projects as part of a federal bridge replacement program to increase safety of the traveling public and make structures safe for years to come.
