The Camp Hall Commerce Park is a critical engine for South Carolina’s industrial economy. As a key partner in the Camp Hall Rail Project, LJA Infrastructure, Inc. (LJAI) is delivering the final phase of infrastructure needed to connect this hub to the global supply chain.

LJA Infrastructure became engaged during Q4 2024 to support the project through pre-construction planning and bid solicitation. Following contractor selection, LJAI partnered with Ragnar Benson to deliver comprehensive railroad contracting services, including the furnishing and installation of the final 10.6 miles of new track. Through close coordination, disciplined execution, and field-driven delivery, the team is advancing construction activities toward anticipated completion in Q2 2026, at which time the new Palmetto Railways branch line is expected to be placed into service, representing a major milestone in expanding regional rail connectivity.

This project involves the construction of 10.6 miles of new railroad between Cross and Ridgeville, South Carolina, located approximately 30 miles northwest of Charleston. As part of this contract, LJAI is furnishing all materials, labor, and equipment required to construct 56,118 linear Track Feet (TF).

A key element of our scope includes the installation of five new South Carolina (SCDOT) at-grade railroad crossings. This work is being executed in close coordination with Ragnar Benson (MasTec), who is preparing the railroad subgrade prior to our track installation and providing final paving once the rail work is complete. By linking Camp Hall to the national rail network, we are reducing truck traffic, lowering carbon footprints, and providing a competitive edge for South Carolina businesses. This project is about more than laying tracks, it’s about readying the regional infrastructure for future demands.
