Who is eligible to participate?

All full-time and part-time employees are eligible to be awarded a referral bonus.  Managers and higher can only receive referral bonuses for referring candidates that will not be on their own teams.

OUR PROGRAM

  • A qualified referral is defined as an external application that is referred to the company for potential employment.
  • The first LJA employee who is referenced by the candidate as to how they heard about the position will receive credit for the referral.
  • Employees cannot earn a referral bonus if the referral was originally sourced by an outside fee-based recruiter who will require a placement fee.
  • Referral awards will not be paid for persons referred that were previously employed by LJA Engineering as an employee or contractor.
  • If a referral is already in the hiring process through another source and contact has been initiated by Human Resources, an employee will be ineligible to receive a referral award.
  • This referral program is not intended to encourage any employee to breach a non-solicitation agreement with a former employer.
  • While it is important to fill our intern positions with high-caliber students, the referral of a candidate for an intern position is not eligible for a referral bonus.
  • Employees who are initially introduced to a candidate while participating as a representative of LJA at a college career fair or recruiting event are not eligible to receive a referral bonus.
  • Should the referred employee receive a transfer or promotion within the first 90 days of employment, the referral bonus will be based on the position title at the time of hire.

How To Apply

  • Please email recruiting@lja.com and also refer candidates to our career page to submit their resumes. The candidate must indicate while applying online that they have been referred by a current LJA employee.
  • When a referred candidate is hired, the referring employee must complete the Referral Bonus Application and submit it to our recruiters via recruiting@lja.com.​​​​​​​
  • Our recruiters will submit the form to payroll for processing when the referred employee reaches their 90-day anniversary date. The bonus, minus applicable payroll taxes, will be paid on the next available payday.
