Jim has 40+ years of land development/community planning experience, with 28 years serving on the in-house planning staff for The Woodlands Corporation as Director of Residential Planning. Jim was an original member of The Woodlands “New Town” planning team with a hand in designing much of the fabric of the residential villages, including the Recreation Standards for the Parks and Trail System. The impact is a system of 130 parks in the community that were programmed or designed, including a park bearing his name, Wendtwoods Park. Areas of expertise include design and production of large-scale, multi-use projects beginning with project initiation and concept plans, through permit processing, platting, and implementation. He is also integrally involved in the preparation, coordination, and production of materials utilized for sales, marketing, and funding acquisition. Jim is an active member of the AIA, ULI, and has served on several Design Review Committee’s and Community Association boards within The Woodlands.
